The Indiependence Mixtape

This weekend is an immense weekend for Irish music in terms of the future. As we all know we can only have good independent music festivals if they have the ability to make money. Here's hoping all four festivals this weekend breaks even and continues into the future!

Le Cheile - Oldcastle, Meath July 31st - Aug 2nd.
There's a free gig on the Sunday featuring Funeral Suits and Neosupervital amongst many others that I'm looking forward to. I also got tickets to Heritage Centre and Ian Whitty for the Bank Holiday Monday.

CastlePalooza has probably the best line-up ever and as a fan of Irish music I probably should have made my way to this gig.

Find the line-up here: http://www.castlepalooza.com/

Then there are the two big festivals in Cork. This gig has a great line-up and resonably priced tickets.

But for me the big festival is the Indie-Pendance gig in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. It has a great line-up over three stages!
